  Notes	Isaac's middle name is variously reported as Warren, Oscar, or R. In the family record book compiled by his daughter-in-law he is shown as Isaac Warren Kitchen. Issac came to California in 1854. He then returned to Mass., and brought his family to California in 1856, via the Isthmus of Panama. They lived in San Francisco for about a year, and then settled in Butte County, at what is now known as Coutolenc. The site of their home is on the right of Hupp Coutolenc road just past the road to the cemetery where many of the family are buried. Issac is listed as a miner in the 1870 census. His birth place is given as England in that census. Family documentation says he was born at sea enroute from England to Nova Scotia. Other information indicates that he was born in Canada. If he was born at sea he probably would be listed as born in Canada where the ship arrived. Isaac is buried in the Coutelinc cemetary, Butte County, California. He and his wife are in one of the oldest plots in the cemetary. This plot was surrounded by a picket fence, but now just a chain. Family members say that Isaac's wife Phoebe donated an acre of land for the cemetary when Isaac died (another acre was from the Coutolenc family earlier).
